Acceptance Criteria for Shrinkage Compensation Devices, AC316
http://www.icc-es.org/criteria/pdf_files/ac316.pdf (159kb) |
A proposed ICBO Acceptance Criteria for Rod Hold Down Systems
has been on the agenda several times over the last couple of years,
but a lack of direction by the ICC and squabbling among the
manufactures has prevented an acceptance criteria from being issued.
AutoTight endorses an Acceptance Criteria that includes standards for
Strength, System Elongation and Backlash, Shrinkage Compensation at
all Levels and Maximum Reliability.

Local Jurisdiction Code Standards |
There is currently no specific national code standard or acceptance
criteria for complete rod hold down systems. However, some local
jurisdictions, including the City of Los Angeles, have established specific standards for rod systems.
